To mark the start of the spring semester, students are invited to participate in a pair of Welcome Back events on campus.
“Blizzard of Bucks” and “Mind Tripping” will bring fun, amazement, and perhaps some cash to students as they settle in for another term.
“Blizzard of Bucks,” which will come to the Village Community Center at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, is a game show which allows contestants to compete for cash. The ultimate winner of the competition gets to stand in a glass cylinder as up to $500 in small bills are blown around.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt. The event is for student only who must show a student ID to enter.
On Thursday, Jan. 14 at 9 p.m. in the Village Community Center, “Mind Tripping” will involve students in a series of scenarios with unexpected twists. This live act is free and open to the public.
Student Activities will also be offering free hot chocolate to students in the main Olmsted lobby from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11.
