Welcome to Penn State Harrisburg's Psychology Program website. We offer a variety of programs in psychology and we invite you to explore our website for specific information on our various activities.
The vision of the Psychology Program is to cultivate intellectual growth, health and well-being, and a respect for individual differences. Additionally, we strive to promote the understanding and improvement of family, social, and healthcare systems. Our focus is based on the scientist-practitioner model, which is interactive. Our research endeavors inform our practice, and our practice needs guide our research.
The mission of the Psychology Programs is to provide high quality academic programs for both undergraduate and graduate students, welcoming both traditional and nontraditional students. The Psychology Programs at Penn State Harrisburg contribute to the psychosocial, intellectual, and cultural development of the region through a dynamic student-centered environment for learning. Our undergraduate and graduate programs prepare students for on-going educational, personal, and professional development. Students are exposed to opportunities to prepare for employment in community organizations, human services, healthcare, and not-for-profit agencies; or to go on for advanced studies in psychology and related areas. The blend of diversity and talent in our faculty, the commitment of our staff, and the talent of our students contribute to a rewarding opportunity for intellectual growth.
