Welcome to the website for the Environmental Training Center (ETC) and Small Public Water Systems Technology Assistance Center (SPWSTAC).
Together, the Centers provide continuing education courses in drinking water, wastewater, and water resources. In addition, ETC collaborates with the Penn State Harrisburg's Continuing and Professional Education Office and the School of Science, Engineering and Technology offering a variety of noncredit programs designed for professionals in the engineering/technology fields as well as outreach programs for school age children.

Our Mission

The mission of the Environmental Training Center is to protect public health and enhance environmental sustainability in the Mid-Atlantic Region by providing premier operations training, technology assistance, and technology evaluation.

Highlights and Announcements

Pennsylvania operator certification exams will be offered in 2012. An exam schedule should be posted to the PA DEP website by February 1, 2012, as well as their approved exam providers' websites.
