Spring 2012 Study Tours: London, China, and Guatemala
Thanks to the generosity of donors to the college, travel awards are being made available, up to $800 each!
Four criteria will be used to determine the awardees:
Thanks to the donations of the Thomas A. Plein Foundation, the college will be awarding ten $1000 awards for first time international travelers.
These awards are designated for first-time internationally travelling students. The requirements are that you are currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at Penn State Harrisburg in fall 2011 and in spring 2012, and that you are in good academic standing (GPA will be checked) and not involved in disciplinary judicial affairs matters. This will be your first international trip and you will write a ½ page essay on why you want to go. Decisions will be made within one week of the deadline so that students can register for the trip and course by December (deposit will be required at the point of registration). Classes start meeting in the spring semester. Please write, call or come by the International Programs office with any of your questions. If you are a first-time traveler, we expect there are questions.
Questions and submission of essays for both award programs need to be completed by Tuesday, November 8, 2011 and should be directed to Marie-Louise Abram, Director of International Programs, mla9@psu.edu or phone 948-6003
