Welcome to Penn State Harrisburg Penn State Harrisburg
Multicultural Recruitment and Community Affairs

The Office of Multicultural Recruitment and Community Affairs provides outreach into the community to help insure that students who are underrepresented at the University are made aware of the resources and opportunities available to them. Working with school counselors, churches, and other organizations, information and programs are made available to low income, first-generation college goers, and others in need of support in accessing a college education. The objective of creating a dynamic multicultural student body is a major role for this office.

Workshops for students and parents are offered covering topics on preparing for college and financing a college education. These programs may be custom designed for students from middle school through senior high. Students are invited to campus for tours, to meet with faculty, interact with currently enrolled students and for special programs including, STEM Career Day, Academic Bowl and the Penn State Partnership.
