Campus Life and Intercultural Affairs

Mission Statement

The Office of Campus Life and Intercultural Affairs enhances and supports the educational mission of all academic units through collaborative partnerships, assessments and implementation of services in order to promote student success and quality of life within a learning centered community. To achieve this mission the following objectives are employed:

• Provide support services that assist students to refine academic skills and promote holistic development;
• Provide educational opportunities for students to learn, live and succeed in a pluralistic society;
• Provide educational opportunities to the campus community that promote cultural awareness and sensitivity;
• Promote leadership opportunities for students through partnerships with other campus entities;
• Promote programs and activities that enhance understanding, appreciation and celebration of cultural difference;
• Engage in assessment and continuous improvement of all programs and services;
• Promote positive relation is with support programs and activities in the community at large.

Adult Student Support
The Adult Student Support Office works to meet the needs of our adult student population.

Intercultural Affairs and Student Activities
The Student Activities and Intercultural Affairs office takes an active role in promoting a climate that forster the exploration of issues related to diversity and inclusion. This office promotes events and activities to compliment and support students' academic and personal goals, while helping to develop lifelong leadership skills.

Penn State Harrisburg Clubs and Organizations
This office works with more than 50 recognized clubs and organizations to assist with programming efforts and supervises financial transactions. The office also oversees the Student Government Assocation, and provides leadership opportunties through workshops and seminars.

International Student Support
Penn State Harrisburg's International Student Support Office acts as a liason between Penn State Harrisburg international students and the Office of Global Programs at University Park. The office provides assistance with immigration issues, hosts employment information sessions, and provides personal development and growth opportunities for students.
